After Breakfast Proceed to Sigiriya.

Morning proceed to climb the Sigiriya Rock Fortress.

Sigiriya, which is home to the 5th century "Fortress in the sky". On its summit are the foundations of what was once a great and sumptuous palace and garden. On one of the stairways is the only known ancient work of Sinhala secular painting survived in the form of frescoes of life sized damsels in all the freshness and delicacy of their original color.

Afternoon day excursion to Polonnaruwa

Polonnaruwa, which was the Capital of Sri Lanka from 11th - 13th Century. It contains some splendid and spectacular statues. Lankatilake, Tivanka and Thuparama are the most beautiful and largest shrine ruins, as for Tivanka, it has the best example of frescoes of the Polonnaruwa period. Gal Vihare - a rock shrine which has four Buddha statues, two seated, one standing and one reclining. En route visit a Batik Factory.

En route, visit Dambulla, which is famous for the five cave Temples on a r ock. All the 5 cave walls and ceilings are covered with Buddhist murals and there are more than 130 Buddha statues, as well as statues of Gods and Kings. Cave temple and the Spice Garden in Matale.

After breakfast, enjoy a sight-seeing tour of Kandy, with visit to the Royal Botanical Gardens - 147 acres in extent. It was started in 1374 as a pleasure garden of the Kings of Kandy. There are more than 5000 species of trees and plants. Afternoon, visit to the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, which was brought to Sri Lanka in the 4th Century A.D., hidden in an Orissan princess' hair. The Relic has grown in repute and holiness in Sri Lanka and throughout the Buddhist world. It is considered Sri Lanka's most prized possession.
