Morning proceeds to Habarana with en route stop and visit the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, which was started in 1975 to house abandoned and wounded elephants. The sanctuary covers 25 acres of lush vegetation with an approximate population of about 77 elephants (both adult and baby elephants).

Evening proceeds for Safari Tour in Minneriya National Park by Jeep and after onwards Elephant Ride in Habarana.

national park on 12 August 1997, having been originally declared as a wildlife sanctuary in 1938. The reason for declaring the area as protected is to protect the catchment of Minneriya tank and the wildlife of the surrounding area. The tank is of historical importance, having been built by King Mahasen in third century AD. The park is a dry season feeding ground for the elephant population dwelling in forests of Matale, Polonnaruwa, and Trincomalee districts. The park earned revenue of Rs. 10.7 millions in the six months ending in August 2009. Along with Kaudulla and Girithale, Minneriya forms one of the 70 Important Bird Areas (IBAs) of Sri Lanka. The park is situated 182 kilometers (113 mi) from Colombo.

Morning proceed to climb the Sigiriya Rock Fortress.

Sigiriya, which is home to the 5th century "Fortress in the sky". On its summit are the foundations of what was once a great and sumptuous palace and garden. On one of the stairways is the only known ancient work of Sinhala secular painting survived in the form of frescoes of life sized damsels in all the freshness and delicacy of their original color.

Afternoon day excursion to Polonnaruwa

Polonnaruwa, which was the Capital of Sri Lanka from 11th - 13th Century. It contains some splendid and spectacular statues. Lankatilake, Tivanka and Thuparama are the most beautiful and largest shrine ruins, as for Tivanka, it has the best example of frescoes of the Polonnaruwa period. Gal Vihare - a rock shrine which has four Buddha statues, two seated, one standing and one reclining. En route visit a Batik Factory.

On completion return to Hotel

After breakfast, proceed to Kandy, the laidback capital of the hill country and the historical bastion of Buddhist power. It is built around a peaceful lake and set in a picturesque bowl of hills. Today it is the center of Buddhism, Arts, Crafts and Culture.

En route, visit Dambulla, which is famous for the five cave Temples on a rock. All the 5 cave walls and ceilings are covered with Buddhist murals and there are more than 130 Buddha statues, as well as statues of Gods and Kings Cave temple and also visit the Spice Garden in Matale.
